• hello,
    I got the model this week.
    Nothing to say on the modeling side, locomotive built well.
    I immediately mounted an ESU 54614 21MTC decoder.
    Surprise: Lighting does not work as it should, because you have to set up the decoder, but values are not written anywhere on the poor manual attached to the locomotive.
    Written at least 5 times at LSModels, to request the values of the CVs to be edited, I did not receive any response.
    This company has a bad customer service and also provides its models, which do not cost a bit, of poorly described and misrepresented instructions.
    In the past I have already experienced their customer service, having other models of this company
    If some forumist, who have this model, were kind to help me in setting the decoder, I would be really grateful.
    Otherwise, I will be forced to return the locomotive to the store.
    Looking forward any kindly reply.
    Greetings to all.
    Giuseppe

    Hallo,
    Grüße an alle.
    Giuseppe

  • Hello Guiseppe,

    I try to help you with your problem.
    Please give me some time to find out the CV's

    Kind regards Jan

  • Lieber Giuseppe

    maybe this helps - the allocation of the various outlets to the functions is somewhat weird...
    F0 is for normal 3/1 lights (white), F2 for one red light on each side (?), F5 for the cab light and F6 is switching light 3/2 fix - independent of running direction. These settings are from the factory built-in ESU M4 Decoder on an AC Model.

  • Thanks a lot JAN for your answer.....

    Mobadan, I will try to set the decoder, with the setting you post here, thank you...

    Badger, yes is it an ESu decoder 54614 (LP4.0), I have the lokprogrammer, but I don't know which CVs have to be modified to set the right lighting.....Maybe, you can post a screenshot of the setting CVs....thank you

  • dear Mobadan
    I'd try, setting the CVs as your suggest, but no way, maybe because in your loco, is installed a M4, and, as wrote on the manual, the decoder need a SUSI interface to work properly...I'm always waiting of an answer from the manufacturer.......

CV 13 schafft Abhilfe.

    I guess the manual is wrong. It seems that it was planned to do it with SUSI (as on the Bm 6/6), but it has been done with normal AUX. This is the reason for the complex programming of the decoder. If you want I can send you the ESU File.

    Hello, I will be so much glad if you will send me the file.........my email is: peppardo11@gmail.com, or you will post here the file, maybe it can help some other forumist...

  • Hi Giuseppe

    Welcome to the club. I had the same feeling like you when I tried to digitalise the Bm 4/4. None of the light function was working.
    First I figured out which physical function is on which output. The result is:
    - Aux 1: middle light front
    - Aux 2: right light back
    - Aux 3: left light back
    - Aux 4: middle light back
    - Aux 5: one red light front and back (I didn't figure out how to set only front or back)
    - Aux 6: cabinlight
    So with this information I programmed the CV's of mit ESU Lokpilot V4 as follows to have the following functions:
    F0: locomotive running with cars on main line (3/1 white lights changing with direction)
    F1: locomotive in shunting mode (3/2 white lights)
    F2: locomotive parked (1/1 red lights)
    F5: locomotive in multiple traction, front locomotive (3/1 white lights, changing with direction to lightfunction as F6)
    F6: locomotive in multiple traction, rear locomotive (1/1 red lights, I did not yet figure out how to turn of the front light!, changing with direction to lightfuntion as F5)
    F7: cabinlight
    For that I set the following CV's:
    330 = 15
    346 = 57
    362 = 31
    378 = 31
    394 = 64
    410 = 64
    490 = 15
    506 = 64
    after setting CV 32 = 3 go on with
    266 = 64
    282 = 15
    298 = 128
    314 = 128

    I hope this helps, greetings from Switzerland
    Roland

  • good morning guys,
    After countless tests and configurations, I came to the conclusion that it is the locomotive electronics that does not respond to the commands given by the decoder.
    So I decided to return the locomotive to the store and make her a replacement.
    Thank you all for your patience and support.
    I hope your tips can be useful to other users as well.
    Greetings from Italy.

    Schade macht LSM kein gealterte Version.

    Has anybody noticed that the speaker makes strange sounds during playback of the preprogrammed sounds?
    By the way, I think the sounds are from ESU this time. So I guess you could save some money by installing the decoder yourself, right? Would this have any setbacks, apart from not knowing the CVs?

    Thanks!
